Your Home & Garden Magazine

My favourite time of the month! I love, love, love Your Home & Garden Magazine.  They recently gave the magazine a makeover and it is looking great!

This month’s magazine is all about creating fun and functional homes for busy families as well as a bonus section on The Block NZ.

Creating a home that suits every member of your family is always going to be a challenge and a half.  It needs to be extremely functional, hard wearing against little ones, cosy and still styled perfectly to make you feel proud.  This month’s magazine has fantastic idea’s for family homes including some awesome kid’s room inspiration.

Flick to Page 90 and you have 10 tips for making your home child-friendly such as embracing the silly, letting kids help with the decor decisions and having a ‘kids only’ space.

One of my favourite sections at the moment is “Marty’s Hacks”.  For those that follow The Block NZ, you will definitely know who Marty is! If not, he was a regular builder on the block who made an impression with custom made furniture for the team’s houses.  Marty has a DIY section in the magazine that helps you create something for your home… This month, it’s a cute little house bed for your pet.

As for the garden section of the magazine… I can only admire!  Endless gorgeous pictures of amazing gardens that I will keep dreaming of one day having.

Finally, to finish up with The Block NZ section.  Meet the teams, take a look at their first room reveal rooms, meet the judges and have a chat with Mark Richardson.
